ABOUT
Dr. Kang P. Tee, DACM, LAc, DiplOM
|
I am fascinated by the interconnection of meridian systems of the human body and treat the human body as one holistic system. My clinical experience and interests include:
My journey into Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) began in 2009, after a car accident left me with injuries to my back and neck. I underwent various conventional treatments, but was told that painkillers or spinal surgery were my only options to manage the pain and numbness. Unwilling to accept those solutions, I decided to explore alternative medicine. I was fortunate enough to experience acupuncture firsthand, which significantly helped alleviate my symptoms. With over 10 years of experience in engineering, I chose to pursue a Master's degree in TCM while working full-time, driven by a desire to understand and share the healing benefits of TCM with others. Today, I’m passionate about educating my patients on TCM principles and have successfully helped them achieve their health goals and improve their quality of life.
I am continually learning from renowned TCM masters, including Dr. Jeffrey Yuen, an international expert in Classical Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture. I have also completed the Acupuncture Sports Medicine Certification apprenticing with Dr. Whitfield Reaves, a leading practitioner in Sports Medicine Acupuncture with over 40 years of experience. Additionally, I have studied under the late Master Dr. Wei-Chieh Young, a disciple of the legendary Master Tung, and Ms. Ann Cecil-Sterman, LAc, a highly respected author and expert in Advanced Acupuncture. Furthermore, I am a student of Dr. Alice K. Yan, LAc, who brings 40 years of expertise in both Acupuncture and Western medicine as a midwife.
I've been a vegetarian for more than 30 years. I love hiking, snapping photos with my smartphone (feel free to check out my social media on Facebook and Instagram), listening to music, going to the movies, playing tennis, swimming, and skiing. I'm also multilingual, fluent in English and Chinese (Mandarin, Cantonese, Hakka).
